Safety Recall - Handheld Garment Steamers
Take these steps to ensure your safety:

Turn off and unplug Handheld Garment Steamer.

Check MODEL type and SERIAL NUMBER.
There is a silver or white label on bottom of the steamer that shows the MODEL, SERIAL NUMBER, and on some units a DATE CODE. See examples to the right.
There are five possible Steamfast brand models (SF-425, SF-435, SF-440, SF-445, and SF-447), one Sharper Image brand model (SI-428), and one Vornado brand model (VS-410), as shown above. Please determine which MODEL you have and select from the drop-down list below.

As always, the safety of our customers is our absolute priority.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada, Vornado is voluntarily recalling the Handheld Garment Steamers shown below because the steamers can expel hot water from the steam nozzle while heating or during use, posing a serious burn hazard to consumers.
The following models are recalled:
Steamfast Model SF-425 (4 oz), SF-440 (6.1 oz), SF-435 (7 oz, multiple colors), SF-445 (11.4 oz), and SF-447 (11.4oz)
Sharper Image Model SI-428 (4oz) and Vornado Model VS-410 (5.6oz)
If you have a recalled unit, we ask that you please stop use immediately and follow the steps described below to participate in the recall for a refund or replacement depending on model.
